A welcoming start
Every learner brings strengths and a different starting point.

Our purpose
Knowing how to use technology can make the next step feel possible.
Applying for a job, managing an email account or accessing an online service can be daunting when you have had limited access to technology or need to refresh your skills.
YouCan CIC is building its own referral network with community and professional organisations. Ikija Care is one initial community referral relationship, while YouCan maintains separate governance, programme records, financial controls and outcome reporting.
Rebuilding after prison: limited digital access can create barriers to housing, everyday services, education and work. Alongside wider support, our prevention aim is to reduce exclusion and isolation and help people build a life away from the criminal justice system.
Moving forward after military service: civilian life can involve unfamiliar online services, job applications and digital systems. We aim to help veterans refresh their skills and work towards their own goals.
Digital inclusion and individual mentoring connect these two strands. Each person brings their own strengths, experiences and priorities.
We recognise that everyone’s experience is different. Our approach combines small, supportive learning groups with individual encouragement, practical tasks and achievable goals.

The way we want to work
Every learner brings strengths and a different starting point.
Everyday tasks help turn practice into confidence.
Mentoring starts with what matters to each person.
New skills can open routes into services, learning and work.
Our leadership
